The Vernal Equinox is one of two moments in the astronomical year when the Sun is exactly above the Equator so that an equal amount of daylight and darkness are experienced around the Earth. This moment is a balance point as we move from the darkness of Winter into the light of Spring. It occurs every year around the 20-22 of March in the Northern Hemisphere.
Collecting what we have dreamed about in hibernation, we now have the opportunity to plant these seeds in the emerging warmth and sunlight. Under the astrological sign of Aries (March 21st to April 19th), these seeds will thrust upward from the soil-less garden of our mind-heart-body-spirit connection.
Remember: what you plant (give energy to) in Spring will emerge into the increasing Light, to blossom and be harvested during the coming seasons.
The Alchemy of the Seasons:
- Accumulate in the winter
- Plant in the spring
- Fire in the summer
- Harvest in the fall
In other words, Imagine a fruit tree: In the winter, it lets go of its leaves in the winter, so it can accumulate energy in its roots. It bursts forth with renewed energy in the spring.
Bulbs need that time of resting and gathering energy from the earth, to store for that magnificent blossoming in the spring.
In the spring we plant the seeds, water the bulbs and watch the new energy spring forth.
In the fall, we harvest, separating out the chaff and tilling it back into the soil
